The Early Birds Author to Host Live Chat

MAY 16, 2006 – Join Jenny Minton, author of The Early Birds: A Mother's Story for Our Times, in a live chat on BabyCenter.com from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (ET) this Tuesday, May 16. Jenny's book is an inspiring and thoughtful personal account of the premature birth of her twins Sam and Gus. The boys were born in 2002 at 31 weeks (premature birth is defined as birth less than 37 weeks completed gestation), each weighing 3 ½ pounds. They were immediately rushed to the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where they lay critically ill for 64 days. The book chronicles Jenny's quest to bring her sons home.

The author has donated fifty percent of the royalties from The Early Birds, with a minimum of $10,000 to the March of Dimes to help save babies from premature birth and other serious infant health problems.
