Connecticut Governor Signs NBS Bill

          MANCHESTER, CT, MAY 26, 2009 -- The March of Dimes Connecticut Chapter proudly hosted Governor M. Jodi Rell as she signed Public Act 09- 20, “An Act Requiring the Administration of a Screening Test for Cystic Fibrosis to Newborn Infants” surrounded by volunteers and children.  The enactment of this bill, and the inclusion of Cystic Fibrosis, means Connecticut now requires screening for the full core panel of 29 conditions recommended by the American College of Medical Genetics and endorsed by the March of Dimes.
