Statement on Health Care Reform Law

       WASHINGTON, D.C., MARCH 30, 2010 — Jennifer L. Howse, Ph.D, president of the March of Dimes issued the following statement this morning:

       “Health care reform is now law. Last week the final votes were tallied in the House of Representatives which made some ‘fixes’ to the Senate version which was signed by President Obama on March 23. There is more, much more, work ahead as regulations are written, but this landmark legislation gives us tangible hope that every woman, infant, and child will soon have access to, and can benefit from, great advances in medicine, in technology, and in the improved quality of health services.”
