Nicole Kidman Joins March for Babies

NASHVILLE, TN, APRIL 19 --  Nicole Kidman is known for many roles, but none as important as being mom to her three children.  The actress, who resides in Nashville with her family, knows that while she’s lucky to have healthy children, many other mothers face challenges such as prematurity and birth defects. That's why Ms. Kidman joined the March for Babies at Centennial Park here today to help raise awareness and funds to help more moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies.  Ms. Kidman kicked off the event, which attracted approximately 3,000 participants, and is seen here being interviewed by "Entertainment Tonight."   The segment is due to air Tuesday, April 21.  (PHOTO CREDIT:  Davidbean.net)

NASHVILLE, TN, APRIL 19 – The forecast called for thunderstorms, but that didn’t keep Nashville families at home.  Strollers adorned with umbrellas packed the wet grounds at Centennial Park here today as families and teams came out to the March of Dimes March for Babies to help more babies be born healthy.  The photo here shows stars big and small who joined the event:  (left to right) Bernie Sherry, CEO of Baptist Hospital, presenting sponsor of the Nashville March for Babies, with the Turner family -- Nashville’s top fundraising family team, “Team Ellie” – and Academy Award® winning actress Nicole Kidman.  (PHOTO CREDIT:  Davidbean.net)
