March of Dimes
National Ambassador Program

The March of Dimes National Ambassador

The March of Dimes National Ambassador Program is an annual campaign that puts a face on the March of Dimes mission…the face of a child who was saved by March of Dimes research, programs, or educational campaigns designed to improve infant health.  As a living symbol of the March of Dimes mission to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality, the National Ambassador plays a vital role in the Foundation's efforts to save babies.

Throughout the year, the National Ambassador Family travels across the country to hundreds of meetings, special events, conferences, and fundraising activities sharing their compelling story with millions of Americans.  During these visits, the National Ambassador participates in media interviews and photo sessions and makes appearances with celebrities, government and public officials, and senior-level corporate management to increase public and media awareness of the March of Dimes mission.   Perhaps the most special of these events is the annual visit to the White House, where the National Ambassador meets the President of the United States.

The National Ambassador is one of the Foundation's most recognized and beloved volunteers.
